Elon Musk is scheduled to visit the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp in Poland this coming week.

In addition, the Tesla CEO and owner of “X” is expected to discuss online antisemitism during a conversation with conservative commentator Ben Shapiro, an orthodox Jew.

Musk will be the guest speaker at the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, organized by the Association of Jewish Organizations in Europe (EJA), during its annual delegation of European leaders to Auschwitz.

The conference will also feature Israeli Diaspora Affairs Minister Amichai Chikli, Yad Vashem Dani Dayan Chairman, and others. During the conference, an announcement will be made regarding establishing a Leaders’ Forum to Combat Antisemitism, led by former Israeli President Reuven Rivlin.

During the symposium, European leaders will discuss more effective ways to combat rising antisemitism in light of the war in Gaza.

In September, it was reported by the Jerusalem Post that Musk agreed to visit Auschwitz after a request from EJA Chairman Rabbi Menachem Margolin. Musk shared his many past Jewish connections from his upbringing. “I actually went to Hebrew preschool in South Africa when I was a kid. Now, I don’t know if I’m sort of genetically Jewish or what, but maybe somewhere. I am aspirationally Jewish.”

In a dramatic and candid moment during a live discussion on the X platform, Rabbi Margolin urged Musk “to walk there, to feel it, to understand it,” and Musk, in reflection, offered a tentative yes.
