LOD — The violence in mixed Israeli cities continues. On Motzei Shabbos, a Chabad family was ambushed by a terrifying group of Arab rioters. Miraculously, one of the small children in the car emerged unscathed, after a large rock landed inches from her head.

As reported on Charedim 10, the family was returning to their home in Lod, after spending Shabbos in the north, and was assaulted as they approached the entrance to the city around 11 pm.

The parents were in the car with their two young children, and as they arrived at the town entrance near Chashmal Square, Arab rioters began throwing massive stones toward the vehicle. The attackers appeared to be residents of the town.

The owner of the vehicle, who miraculously survived, described the moments of horror: “While I was driving, I saw some stones [in front of our car], but I did not see the throwers. A few seconds later a large stone landed on my vehicle, a few inches from the head of my sleeping daughter. Miraculously nothing happened to her. There is no doubt that a few inches over to the side, and she would have been injured.”

The man immediately called the police, and he was told that they were handling the matter.

According to an investigation by journalist Kalman Liebskind published in Maariv, of the insurgents involved in terrorism in Lod and Ramla during “Operation Guardian of the Walls”, about two-thirds were from mixed families, meaning that one of the parents came from the Palestinian Authority.

Those rioters took part in all the high-profile attacks at the time, including the murder of Yigal Yehoshua HY”D, the attempted burning of Jews in a building in Lod, the burning of a police station in the city, the shooting of an MDA volunteer, and the burning of a playground in Ramla.
