TEL AVIV  — The US announced Tuesday that the first official commercial flight from Israel to Abu Dhabi will take place Monday and will include a delegation of senior Israeli and American officials. Israel’s delegation will be headed by National Security advisor Meir Ben-Shabbat, who also heads the National Security Council. The American delegation is set to include the US’s National Security Advisor, Robert O’Brien, as well as Trump’s senior advisor and son-in-law, Jared Kushner.

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu announced that the delegations would promote normalization between Israel and the UAE. The prime minister added that “the talks in Abu Dhabi will focus on promoting cooperation in a wide range of spheres including aviation, tourism, commerce, economics, finance, health, energy, security and other issues. The delegation will include representatives of different ministries including the director-generals of the Prime Minister’s Office, the Foreign Ministry and the Defense Ministry and The Director of Civil Aviation.”

Netanyahu added that the historic agreement will serve as a “growth engine” and added that he hoped other Middle Eastern countries would follow suit and initiate peace agreements with Israel.
