Zionist Union leader Isaac Herzog told Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton about his plan for separation from the Palestinians in a brief conversation at the AIPAC Policy Conference in Washington on Monday.
“I hope you eventually get a chance to look at my plan, but I understand that you’re very busy right now,” Herzog said he told Clinton.
Clinton expressed her concerns about the wave of terrorism in Israel and reiterated her commitment to the Jewish state, as she did in her address to the crowd at the event.
“Under the circumstances, everyone is very cautious about what they are saying,” Herzog told The Jerusalem Post from Washington.

The opposition leader had to return to Israel before Republican candidates Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, and John Kasich came to the conference, so he did not meet with any of them.
But Herzog did meet Monday with Republican House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy as well as former Democratic House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer. He had a longer meeting Sunday night with Vice President Joseph Biden, in which he elaborated on his diplomatic plan, especially its security aspects.
