The circumstances behind the incident are being investigated by the Shin Bet.
A Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) member was killed on Tuesday, during an operational activity near the Gaza Strip border, the domestic intelligence agency announced on Wednesday.
The family of the employee had been notified.
The agency said it was looking into the circumstances of the incident. It appears as if the circumstances are accidental.
