London – A car has smashed into a Costa coffee shop in Britain, leaving one woman dead and five other people injured.

The car hit the front of the cafe Thursday morning in Westerham, 25 miles (40 kilometers) southeast of London.

Officials say four of the injuries are serious.

Photos of the crash posted on social media show an Audi embedded into the front of the cafe.

Firefighters freed two people from inside the car. The town center was closed off after the incident.

In a separate incident, a bus collided with a car and then smashed into a building housing a regional office for the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.

Seven people needed hospital treatment after that collision in Peterborough, north of London. The guide dog office said no animals or people in the building were injured.
