JERUSALEM – The Israel Defense Forces announced Monday an update to Home Front Command defensive guidelines, effective from 9 p.m. Monday until 8 p.m. Tuesday, following a situational assessment amid ongoing security concerns.
The changes maintain limited activity in northern frontline areas while allowing gatherings of up to 5,000 people in a wide range of other regions, the IDF said in a statement.
According to the updated guidelines:
Frontline areas along the Lebanon border will remain under a limited activity level. Educational activities may only take place in protected spaces.
The Northern Golan Heights, Upper Galilee, and the communities of Katzrin and Kidmat Tzvi will also stay at limited activity. Schools and educational programs can operate in locations where residents can reach a protected space within the required time.
In the Southern Golan, Beit She’an Valley, Jordan Valley, Samaria, Judea, Dead Sea area, Jerusalem, Lachish, Western Lachish, Gaza Envelope, Western Negev, Central Negev, Southern Negev, Arava and Eilat, public gatherings are limited to 5,000 people.
All other Home Front Command instructions across the country remain unchanged.
The IDF emphasized that it continues to monitor developments closely and will update guidelines as needed based on the security situation.
Residents are advised to ensure quick access to protected spaces such as reinforced rooms (mamad) or bomb shelters and to consult the official Home Front Command interactive map or app for location-specific instructions.
This marks the latest in a series of periodic adjustments to civilian defensive measures as Israel maintains heightened alert levels on multiple fronts.
