JERUSALEM — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced Tuesday evening that he has been invited to meet President Donald Trump at the White House on September 29, just days after addressing the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

Netanyahu said the invitation came during a phone call on Monday, noting that he has held several “constructive” discussions with Trump in recent days following Israel’s strike targeting senior Hamas leaders in Doha.

The upcoming visit will mark Netanyahu’s fourth meeting with Trump since the start of the president’s second term.
