Israeli airline to operate six weekly flights to London’s Luton Airport, with fares starting at $300 one way

Israir launched its inaugural flight on Sunday from Tel Aviv to London’s Luton Airport. The airline will operate six weekly flights, Sunday through Friday, with fares starting at $300 one way.

Additional charges include $18 for a carry-on bag and $45 for a checked bag, per direction. Luton Airport is located about 56 kilometers (35 miles) north of central London.

Until now, El Al was the only airline flying from Israel to the British capital, after most foreign carriers suspended their Israel routes due to the ongoing war. Last month, Arkia also introduced a direct route from Tel Aviv to Manchester.

Hila Hermolin Ronen, Israir’s vice president of marketing and sales, said, “We are delighted to launch our daily Tel Aviv-London Luton route this morning. This marks a significant expansion of our operations, adding to the more than 30 destinations Israir currently serves. Given these challenging times, we aimed to provide a stable solution, allowing Israeli business travelers and vacationers to fly this highly sought-after route at a fair price.”
