The Trump campaign has announced that it will be holding a rally next Wednesday in Uniondale, Long Island. The rally will take place in the iconic Nassau Coliseum. While New York is considered a blue state, and Democrats have comfortably been able to win consistently, Nassau county leans conservative, and many of its local politicians are Republicans.
In addition, gubernatorial candidate Lee Zeldin and other Republicans came close to upsetting their opponents in the 2022 election.
The campaign announcement said:
President Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States of America, will deliver remarks at a rally in Uniondale, New York on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at 7:00PM EST.
Nassau County is reeling from the harmful effects of the dangerously liberal policies championed by Kamala Harris and Democrats like Eric Adams. Since Kamala took office, the average New York household has been forced to spend an additional $27,387, including $4,118 more on food, $4,656 on shelter, $3,882 on energy, and $8,621 on transportation. These disastrous economic policies are draining the bank accounts of hardworking New Yorkers.
Nassau County has also felt the dangerous effects of Kamala Harris’ open border bloodbath. The flood of illegal immigrants into nearby “sanctuary,” New York City has unleashed crime and chaos into their community.
In February, an illegal migrant who crossed the border last November brutally attacked a homeowner in Hempstead. In 2023, police arrested eight men from South America in connection with a series of break-ins targeting homes and businesses across Nassau County. The safety of our neighborhoods is being compromised, and it’s clear that Kamala’s reckless immigration policies are putting New Yorkers at risk.
President Trump’s message to Nassau County is simple and built on his winning record: If you want to return to the strongest economy in over 60 years, rising wages, quality jobs, strong borders, and safe neighborhoods, then vote for the Trump-Vance ticket.
