
BROOKLYN — On Sunday, police arrested two individuals after they allegedly stole a young man’s hat and knocked off his kippah on Avenue N and East 15th Street, the NYPD’s 70th Precinct announced.
The incident, which was caught on surveillance video, is being treated as a bias-motivated assault. Both suspects are expected to be charged with a hate crime.
Flatbush Shomrim assisted officers in locating the individuals, leading to their swift apprehension.
The victim was not seriously injured.
