The newly enlisted man will serve ten days in a military prison; the IDF considers the posters racist and political, which it specifies as forbidden to those currently serving in the national army.

An IDF soldier was sentenced to ten days’ incarceration after distributing flyers on the Tel Hashomer base that the IDF deemed to be racist and inciting.

According to the soldier’s lawyer, “This is a sad case in which the army preferred to send a young man who only just enlisted to prison. Even if his views are inconsistent with this or that person, it would have been better had they explained the rules of contact in the army to him and not chosen to actually punish him.

“Obviously, his actions weren’t at all criminal.
