The hotel at the Herzliya Pituach marina is now selling a 105-square-meter penthouse overlooking the sea, located on the 12th floor of its luxury apartment wing, where the rich and the famous stayed.
Singer Justin Timberlake, Apple’s CEO, and actors Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones have all stayed at the 12th floor penthouse of the Ritz Carlton in the Herzliya Pituach marina. Now, the hotel is putting the last of its 105-square-meter suites, which overlook the Mediterranean, on sale for NIS 16 million ($4.25 million).
The hotel, which recently hosted rock band Queen, consists of 82 resort apartments on the Herzliya beachfront, just a few minutes drive from Tel Aviv.
The person who buys the penthouse will benefit from the premium services the hotel offers its guests including: use of the swimming pool, the hotel’s spa, the gym, and concierge services.
At the cost of NIS 125,000 per meter, this offer is mostly aimed at buyers from Europe, the US, South Africa and South America, as well as at wealthy Israelis and Jewish investors.
“These are residential suites inside the hotel. As such, they are maintained regularly by the chain and used by their owners for up to 180 days a year,” said Miri Azouri, the VP of marketing and sales at the Ritz Carlton Residences.
The Supreme Court has ruled that the apartments at the Herzliya marina can be classified as resort property, which means their owners can live there for only several months out of the year. During the rest of the year, the property will be leased out to tourists or offered as a hotel unit.
The Ritz Carlton Residences has 12 floors and 115 rooms on the first six floors. The interiors have been commissioned by Gaia Studios in Manhattan, which has designed the W Hotel Chain in Mexico City and Seoul, with another hotel being built in Jaffa.
The hotel was built by the Tidhar Group, which is managed by Gil Geva, Arie Bachar and Mark Weissman, and Adi investments, headed by Adi Strauss and Irit Strauss.
