Police are searching for a suspected terrorist who allegedly tried to stab a soldier at the entrance to the Sde Dov airport and military base in north Tel Aviv on Tuesday.

Police say the suspect approached a soldier manning the security gate at the entrance. After the suspect pulled a knife, the soldier escaped. The would-be assailant fled the scene and a police manhunt is underway.
Authorities confirmed that the incident was motivated by nationalism. Police have set up roadblocks throughout north Tel Aviv in an effort to capture the suspect.
