Soldier sustains moderate wounds; authorities apprehend suspect.
A Palestinian disguised as a photojournalist stabbed and moderately wounded an IDF soldier near the West Bank city of Hebron, police reported Friday.
The stabbing incident occurred at Zayit Junction, in the Kiryat Arba area. Another soldier at the scene fired at the attacker and neutralized him.
During the incident, the terrorist approached the soldier wearing a “press” flak jacket and carrying camera.
Magen David Adom paramedics said they evacuated a 20-year-old Israeli in moderate condition with a stab wound to his upper body. The soldier has been taken to the Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem.
The attack came as Hamas called for a “day of rage” against Israel as two weeks of violence continued.
