Apple launched both its new music streaming service and its Beats 1 radio station Tuesday, and it wasn’t quite the smooth start the company probably hoped for.
The iOS update went live early, and presenter Zane Lowe seemed to not realize at first that he was live on air.
Starting at around 5:45 PM West Coast time, the service was completely down. When users tried to listen in, they saw an error message:
The service is now back up.
But not before Twitter had some fun:
It’s. About. To. Go. Down. @ZaneLowe now on #Beats1. http://t.co/tCrtqhweiH pic.twitter.com/QXs52G6QJi

It seems like Beats 1 outage may have been part of a larger problem Amazon Web Services, which experienced issues Tuesday afternoon. Reddit was also temporarily down for some users, for example.
