A Hachnosas Sefer Torah (new torah scroll dedication ceremony) will be held next week Motzei Shabbos (Saturday night), January 24th, in Willambsurg, in memory of philanthropist Menachem Stark OB”M, who was brutally murdered more than a year ago.
The Sefer Torah procession will start at the residence of the stark family located at 259 Rutledge street, and will continue to the Siach Yitzchok of Lodani Synagogue located at 251 Marcy Avenue, which is the synagogue where the late Mr. Stark attended prayer services every Shabbos.
The new torah scroll was donated by friends and family of Mr. Stark.
The final letters will be inscribed into the torah scroll on Thursday January 22nd at the Stark residence.
After the conclusion of the sefer torah procession and the subsequent celebration in the synagogue, there will be a reception for family and friends at the Pardes Tzvi ballroom.
