Paris – French police, in connection with their investigation into the killing of four people at the Jewish Museum of Belgium in May, have made a series of arrests.
Agnes Thibault-Lecuivre, spokeswoman for the Paris prosecutor’s office, said three men and two women were arrested Tuesday in the southern city of Marseille. No other details on the arrests were immediately available, she said.
The man accused of the killings, Mehdi Nemmouche, was arrested at a Marseille bus station carrying weapons resembling those used in the May 24 killings.
Nemmouche is a 29-year-old French national who is believed to have links with radical Islamists and to have fought in Syria. He was extradited to Belgium in July.
