Washington – Rabbi Yisroel Goldstein recited this morning the ‘Birchas Hagomel’ for miraculously being saved during a shooting at his synagogue last Saturday, at the Chabad in Washington, DC.

Rabbi Goldstein flew to Washington last night, ahead of the National Day of Prayer event. The Rabbi and his family were personally invited to the event by the President and the First Lady.

Lori Gilbert-Kaye, the woman killed in the shooting stepped in front of the bullets aimed at Rabbi Goldstein as he raced to evacuate children, according to her friends and authorities.

Four days after surviving the worst day of his life, Yisroel Goldstein made the cross-country trip.

“What I saw happen on Saturday morning was a page out of the Holocaust days,” Rabbi Goldstein told 10News. “The hatred has not stopped. The hatred the anti-Semitism has risen and it must be stopped.”
