At Lawyers on the Bar’ event in the Mahane Yehuda market, State Attorney Shai Nitzan says Netanyahu’s cases are ‘not simple’ and estimates investigations to continue for a long time.

State Attorney Shai Nitzan said Tuesday that the investigations concerning Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu were “not simple” and added: “I wish the case could be wrapped up faster.”

“As everyone knows, two investigations have been opened, which are not simple investigations,” said the state attorney. “The police have been working on this for many months, and I wish the case could be wrapped up more quickly.

“The attorney general and I personally accompany the meetings, and we have held dozens of meetings on the investigation. With these kinds of investigations, you want to move things as fast as possible, and yet leave no stone unturned.”

According to Nitzan, “These investigations are sometimes connected to matters overseas, and there, we have no control over the pace of events. I hope the police finish as quickly as possible, but it’s not a matter of a few days.”
