Bloomingburg, NY – Developer Shalom Lamm can cross another item off his to do list, as a federal judge dismissed yet another suit against the Bloomingburg developer today.

Judge Katherine B. Forrest of the United States District Court, Southern District of New York, dismissed the suit charging Lamm and several others with multiple instances of deception, corruption, bribery, mail fraud, wire fraud and voter fraud over a nearly ten year period in order to push through the 396 home Chestnut Ridge housing development in Bloomingburg.

The 158 page lawsuit, which cites federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations law, was filed on April 14th by the Bloomingburg Village Board and the town of Mamakating.

In her one page order consisting of just a single paragraph, Judge Forrest dismissed the case and refused to hear oral arguments.  The judge stated her intention to further elaborate on her decision within the next several weeks.

“We said when this suit was filed that it was nothing but a public relations stunt and an egregious waste of taxpayer dollars,” Michael Fragin, of the Bloomingburg Jewish Community Council told VIN News. “People of all races and religions should be welcome to live in Bloomingburg.  It is an outrage that the town of Mamakating is intent on keeping a particular ethnic group out.”
