Rockland County, NY – In response to being hit with a new lawsuit at Tuesday night’s meeting, East Ramapo school board President Yehuda Weissmandil fired back Wednesday, calling the suit “ironic” and scolding that the new suit will only serve to increase “the very legal fees they are complaining about.”

LOHUD.com  reports that Weissmandi called the timing of the parent-led lawsuit “ironic” in that the board just last month made the cost-cutting decision to switch from a Long Island-based legal team to a New York City law firm in order to save on travel expenses.

“It will only siphon off resources that could be used for school programs,” Weissmandi said.
