Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had a meeting with Norwegian Foreign Minister Borge Brende in Jerusalem Thursday morning.

Speaking a day after the massacre in Paris, in which 12 people were killed by two Islamists, Netanyahu stated that the attack “clearly demonstrates the disdain of radical Islam for the values we hold dear.”

“These extremists are part of a global movement and this necessitates a global response<’ he continued. “I believe that with the strength of our resolve and the unity of our action, we can defeat this threat to our common civilization. And what the battle against terror requires is courage, clarity and consistency.

Netanyahu also reminded Europe of the challenges Israel faces, amid recent pressure by European countries to impose a solution on the Jewish state itn its conflict with the Palestinians. ” Israel is being attacked by the very same forces that attack Europe. Israel stands with Europe. Europe must stand with Israel,” he said.
